What are you going to do?

As an Order Fulfilment Officer, you are responsible for your own customers and their orders. You manage the full order-to-cash process, from receiving the order until invoicing and delivery. You make sure orders are correct, on time and according to the rules. You work closely with customers, transport partners and internal teams such as Sales, Supply Chain and Quality. You work in an international environment where accuracy and good communication are very important.

Key Responsibilities:

– Receive, check, enter and confirm customer orders;
– Manage the full order process from order to delivery and invoicing;
– Organise national and international transport by truck, ship or plane;
– Prepare and check correct transport and export documents (Customs, NVWA/COKZ);
– Take care of invoicing according to the correct incoterms;
– Answer customer questions and provide good customer service;
– Work with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office;
– Help improve logistics and order processes;
– Work closely with internal departments and logistics service providers.

What do we offer?

– Salary between €3,500 and €4,300 gross per month, depending on experience;
– A temporary contract of 6 months, with expected extension;
– Start date between March and April;
– Dayshift role, Monday to Friday, start between 7:30-9:00;
– 36-hour work week (A/B week schedule): A week: 32 hours, 2 days at home, 2 days in the office; B week: 40 hours, 3 days in the office, 2 days at home;
– Hybrid working in a modern distribution centre in Meppel;
– 25 vacation days; 8.33% holiday allowance;

Where will you work?

You will work in an international dairy company with Dutch roots. In Meppel, you will work at DC Noord, a modern distribution centre opened in 2019. The Order Fulfilment team supports the global distribution of ingredients used in the food, pharmaceutical and infant nutrition industries. The team in Meppel consists of around 20 colleagues who work closely together.

What do we ask?

– Proven experience in a logistics and/or customer service role within a dynamic, international environment (including export, customs, and applicable laws and regulations);
– Strong customer‑service orientation, with a proactive and solution‑driven mindset;
– Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, authorities, and internal stakeholders;
– Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP;
– Good command of Microsoft Office;
– Fluent in both Dutch and English (Dutch is mandatory; English only is not sufficient);
– Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently;
– Experience with the Order‑to‑Cash process;
– Experience in a global market environment or handling a larger, international customer base.
